Indoor hockey: two KZN teams named

KZN Midlands U21 men’s and women’s teams are taking part in an indoor hockey tournament in Durban from today to Saturday.

The Midlands men’s A and B teams compete with sides from the KZN Coastal and Eastern Gauteng provinces. There are Midlands women’s A and B teams, a Midlands Schools team and sides from the KZN Coastal and Southern Gauteng provinces.

The teams were named by the KZN Midlands Hockey Association.

Annual Sports Banquet

The Annual PMB Sports Banquet was held on Thursday, 11th October 2007 at the Victoria Country Club. It is the premier sports event of the year where PMB Campus’s finest sportsmen and sportswomen receive awards for their achievements during the year.

This year’s guest speaker was Orlando Pirates team manager and former National soccer coach, Ephraim ‘Shakes’ Mashaba.

Tommy Hammond Named SA Hockey Player of the Year

Tommy HammondA great honor was bestowed on our University on Friday, 16th December 2007, when one of our students, Thomas Hammond was named South African Hockey men’s player of the year for 2007.
